Excuse the mess. We're doing some extensive house cleaning. Enjoy the lists in the meantime...
Warner signed a one-year, $4-million contract with the Arizona in 2005. In 2006 he signed a new three-year deal with a base salary of $18 million but with performance incentives which could be worth as much as $22 million. But in week four of the 2006 season he would be replaced by rookie Matt Leinart. During the 2007 season Warner filled in for a struggling Leinart and finished the season with with 27 passing touchdowns, just one shy of the Cardinals franchise record, giving him a 1 million dollar bonus for the year. He also threw for 3,417 passing yards, 27 touchdown passes, and 89.8 passer rating which has been his best since the 2001 season. With those types of numbers it is likely that there will be a training camp battle with Matt Leinart for the starting spot.Aaron Rogers
Rodgers was drafted 24th overall in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers is slated to be the man once future hall of famer Brett Farve Retires (if he retires). Rodgers spent his college days playing for the California Golden Bears, where he set a school season record for most 300 yard games with 5 and lowest percentage of passes intercepted at 1.43%. I'm sure spending these last few seasons under the wing of Bret Farve has set him up for success as a starter.Brady Quinn
Going into the 2006 NFL draft Quinn was was considered to be one of the top players in the country, projected to be picked in the top 10. It was thought that the Browns were going to take Quinn with the number 3 pick, instead taking Joe Thomas an Offensive linemen from Wisconsin. Quinn signed a five-year deal worth an estimated $20.2 million, with $7.5 million guaranteed, and the possibility of up to $30 million with incentives. A 10 day absence from Browns training camp ruined his chances of becoming the starter. He didn't see the field until the 4th quarter of the second game of the 2007 preseason, where he went 13/20 (65%) for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns. Quinn moved to second string after Charlie Fry was traded to the Seahawks for a 6th round pick and Derek Anderson was given the starting job. Anderson put up Pro-Bowl numbers and it was thought that he would be traded but the Browns decided to give him a three year contract. Quinn made his NFL debut the final game of the season against the San Francisco 49ers.Charlie Batch
Batch was drafted in the second round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, choosing to select him over Brian Griese. He had an amazing college career at Eastern Michigan University, where he broke almost every school passing record. He was the Lions' starter from 1998-2001 and by the end of the 2001 season, he had passed for over 9,000 yards, 6th on the Lions' all-time list. He was injured late in 2001, and was released by the Lions for salary cap reasons but signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2002 as a backup. In 2005, he became the second-string quarterback for the Steelers, playing behind Ben Roethlisberger. An injury to Roethlisberger in 2005 gave Batch two starting opportunities, winning both games. Batch had his best game during the 2006 season in over four years, throwing for 209 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions.Brian Griese
Griese was selected in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos, where he was the third string quarterback behind Bubby Brister and John Elway. From 1998 to 2006 Griese bounced around the league playing for the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Chicago Bears. He was traded back to the Bucs in 2008 after the Bears said they were going to cut him. The Bears received an undisclosed 2009 draft pick for Griese. Griese will start the season as the number two quarterback behind Jeff Garcia. But Garcia's age and injury record will probably give Griese a few starts.
