Diaper Dandies! Best Ever Freshman Season in College Hoops

Kevin Durant
Durant averaged 25.8 points per game and 11 rebounds per game.  He became the first freshman to win AP Player of the Year.  Had 20 30 point games.
Elton Brand
Brand averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds during his first season at Cameron Indoor Sports Stadium.  However he only appeared in 21 games during his freshman campaign.  He shot nearly 60% from the field.
Michael Beasley
B-Easy averaged 26.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game as a freshman.  Recorded 28 double-doubles.  He set 27 Kansas State records and 13 Big XII records.
Carmelo Anthony
Anthony averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds per game his freshman year.  He set an NCAA Tournament Freshman record by scoring 33 points against Texas.  He won the Most Outstanding Player award for the NCAA tournament. Had 22 double-doubles.
Pervis Ellison
Ellison averaged 13 points and 8 boards while helping the Louisville Cardinals win the national championship.  And he has one awesome first name.
Michael Jordan
During his freshman season MJ averaged 13.4 points per game and made the game winning jump shot in the National Title game.
Chris Jackson
Averaged just over 30 points to go along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists.  Would later lead the NBA in Times Refusing to Stand for The National Anthem with 1.  Later changed his name to Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf.
