Excuse the mess. We're doing some extensive house cleaning. Enjoy the lists in the meantime...

Greatest Scene in a Sports Movie

Ty Webb's life lessons - Caddyshack
The scene that made "Mitch Cumstein" a household name.
Rocky - Training Montage
The Montage by which all other Montage's are judged
Caddyshack - Cinderella Story
Hes got around 350 yards left. Hes gonna hit about a 5 iron...
Caddyshack - Cannonball Comin...
Some people may say this is too much Caddyshack for one list... those people would be wrong. Apparently, after filming cut, the director realized they had gone the entire movie without Bill Murray and Chevy Chase having a scene together. They threw something together- and the rest, as they say, is history. "We've got a pool and a pond... pond would be better for you"
Any Given Sunday - Al Pacino's Game of Inches Speech
Great scene from a so-so movie. My favorite part is the look Lawrence Taylor gives after Pacino finishes the speech. You can tell he was fired up - LT isn't that good an actor.
Pride of the Yankees - Luckiest Man on the Face of the Earth
A Classic
Talladega Nights - A Nascar family dinner
Some people might say this scene doesn't belong with some of the classics. Well, just watch it and tell me it doesn't belong... seriously, watch it... or I will scissor kick you in the back of the head!
Rudi Rudi Rudi!
Youtube actually has real footage of the final play where Rudi sacks the QB. Movie version is better.
Field of Dreams - Final Scene
A great ending to one of the best sports movies ever made.
The Natural - Roy Hobbs Shatters the Lights

The Hustler - Final Match with Fats
Paul Newman at his finest as Fast Eddie Felson. Would reprise the role for Scorsese's Color of Money in 1986, but without the same critical acclaim.
Hoosiers - Chitwood says he'll make it
Not sure if I really think this is the best scene in the movie or not (its up there), but I felt Hoosiers deserved some representation on the list.
Happy Gilmore - go to your home
Wanted to give Sandler some love. It was between this and the scene in the Waterboy where LT raises an important point about not smoking crack. I figured this scene resonated a little more.
Raging Bull - you never got me down Ray

Bull Durham - meeting at the mound
Not sure about Bull Durham. It never really makes up its mind between being a chick flic or a sports movie. That said, this scene is classic.
A League of Their Own - There's No Crying in Baseball!
Maybe not the greatest movie, but this clip is so funny and so memorable. Haha I love the comment at the end that Tom Hanks makes to the umpire!
Remember the Titans - Singing together in the bus
