The Scariest Sports Moments Ever

Buffalo Sabres v. St. Louis Blues (1989)
Buffalo's golie, Clint Malarchuk, is sliced across the jugular by a skate blade. Fearing he would die, Malarchuk asked for his mother and a priest to be called. Two fans in the arena suffered heart attacks and many of the other hockey players were physically sickened. Malarchuck survived and as a result, the NHL now requires goalies to wear neck protectors. Warning: The video may be quite disturbing.
Tonya Harding v. Nancy Karrigan (1994)
Tonya get someone to take out her competition and bashes the knee of Nancy Karrigan.
Indiana Pacers v. Detroit Pistons (2004)
Ron Artest goes nut on a fan after someone hit him in the head with a bottle of water.

Dale Earnhardt is killed when his car crashes into the wall.
Cincinnati Reds v. Montreal Expos (1996)
After the 7th pitch of the Reds sold-out home opener, umpire, John McSherry, collapsed and died on the field. He was scheduled for a doctors appointment the next day concerning an irregular heartbeat.

11 Israeli athletes were murdered by terrorists during the Olympic games.
Hamburg, Germany Tennis Quarterfinal (1993)
Monica Seles is stabbed in the back by a deranged fan during a quarterfinal match changeover. Seles would later recover to win another Grand Slam singles title.
Oakland Athletics v. San Francisco Giants (Game 3 of the 1989 World Series)
Game 3 of the 1989 World Series is interrupted by the The Loma Prieta earthquake, also known as the Quake of '89. Fans reported that the stadium moved in an articulated manner as the earthquake wave passed through it, that the light standards swayed by many feet, and that the concrete upper deck windscreen moved in a wave-like manner over a distance of several feet. The earthquake lasted approximately 15 seconds and measured 6.9 on the moment magnitude scale (surface-wave magnitude 7.1). The quake killed 67 people throughout northern California, injured 3,757 people and left more than 12,000 people homeless.
